Sporting Olympians

To mark the London 2012 Olympic Games, this project was organised by AARTE charity and Pangolin Editions Foundry and the group Sporting on the Edge who commissioned different artists to create a sculpture to represent the different disciplines. 

I was commissioned to do the equestrian sports of dressage, three day eventing and show jumping. I decided to take the design of the medals as my starting point and draw the figures out of a remnant of the medal, hence the curves.

These sculptures showing the disciplines were exhibited to great public acclaim in London and Heathrow during the event. 50% of the money raised from the sale of the sculptures was donated to the charity.
