BOYT AND HANN EQUINE SCULPTURE WORKSHOP IN SHROPSHIRE

Tutors: Judy Boyt and Priscilla Hann

This is the rare opportunity to observe, sculpt, experiment, learn new skills and practice direct and close to live animals. Work alongside the top equine/animalier sculptors Judy Boyt MA FRBS and Priscilla Hann. The workshop is tailored to the individuals abilities ranging from beginners through to the more experienced artists. All are welcome come and have fun too.

NECK TO NOSE – LEARNING THE ANATOMY TO SCULPT THE HORSE

Sculpture in Gillian’s Leicestershire workshop based on the true anatomy of the horse from the neck to the nose. Learn about the structure and actions of the skeleton with the inspiring Gillian Higgins, surrounded by actual skeletons and live horses. Then Judy will show and help you to construct and sculpt the complex features of the horses head and neck by using simple shapes. This is a workshop based on learning techniques and how to use your tools with greater skill and dexterity.
